How to use it
- Pick a difficulty — easy and medium suit most people; hard and expert need the named techniques keen solvers learn, such as pairs and X-Wings for hard and XY-Wings for expert.
- Choose how many puzzles you want and how many should fit on each page. One per page gives you large print.
- Press “Make my puzzles”. Every puzzle has been checked to have exactly one solution, and a new batch leaves out the ones you have already printed for as long as that level has others.
- Press Print. The answer key prints at the end; untick the box first if you are handing the puzzles out.
Why this one
Most printable sudoku sites hand you the same recycled PDFs, ask you to make an account, or print their logo across the middle of the page. Here every puzzle has been solved step by step and sorted by the techniques it actually takes, so a hard sheet is really hard and an easy one never asks for more than spotting where a number must go. Pressing Print gives you the sheet exactly as you see it — no download, no watermark.
The one-per-page option exists because a lot of these sheets end up in care homes and classrooms, where a grid squeezed four to a page is unusable. One per page gives big squares and thick lines with room to pencil in candidates. And every puzzle is verified to have a single solution before it reaches the paper, which is not something a scanned PDF can promise.
Frequently asked questions
Do I get a PDF?
No, and you do not need one. The puzzles print straight from your browser — and if you do want a file, use your browser’s “Save as PDF” option in the print dialog.
Are the puzzles always solvable?
Yes. Every puzzle has exactly one solution, and every one has been solved from start to finish by logic alone — no guessing. That solve is also how its difficulty is set: by the hardest technique it needed.
Can I print large print sudoku?
Yes — choose one puzzle per page. You get a big grid with thick box lines and space to pencil in candidates, which is what most large print sheets are actually for.
Can I print the answers?
Yes. The answer key prints after the puzzles, packed several to a page, with the numbers you have to work out shown in grey. Untick the box if you would rather not have it.
Can I use these in a classroom or care home?
Yes — make and print as many as you like, free, no account. The small credit line at the bottom can be turned off with a checkbox.
