Fruit Bubbles
Shoot fruit at fruit hanging from above: three alike pop, and whatever hung from them drops.
How to play
- Point where you want the fruit to go: a dotted line shows its path and the cell it will stop in. Click, or lift your finger, to shoot.
- Bank a shot off a side wall to reach round the fruit in the way.
- Three or more of the same fruit joined together pop.
- Whatever was hanging from them falls too: pop the narrow part a shape hangs from and everything under it comes down.
- The fruit is piled taller than the screen. As its lowest fruit go, the rest sinks into view.
- Tap the launcher to swap the fruit in it with the next one.
- Each level has 90 seconds, shown at the bottom left. The clock starts with your first shot, and while it runs the fruit slowly comes down.
- Every fruit cleared scores 10 points. Pop with ten shots in a row and you earn a firework, two at most a level: press the key at the bottom right, shoot it, and it clears every fruit round where it lands.
- From level 2, a run of shots that pop nothing brings the fruit a row lower. The dots beside the launcher count down to it.
- If a fruit rests below the line near the bottom, or the time runs out, the level is laid out again as it was.
- Every level unlocks a new fruit.
- From level 2 there are obstacles. Frozen fruit thaws when fruit beside it pops. An ice block shatters with one pop beside it. Crates break after two pops beside them. A shifting fruit, in a ring of colours, turns into another after every shot. Frost freezes a fruit beside it after every shot that pops nothing, until a pop beside it melts it.
- Clear every fruit and crate to clear the level.
What it trains
- Every shot is worked out with angles: where the fruit will bounce, and which cluster it will join.
- Finding the stem and banking a shot onto it brings down a whole bunch at once.
- Ninety seconds a level keeps every shot quick and decided, and a lost level comes back exactly as it was.
- A tune the fruit plays along to, with a switch for the music and another for the sound effects.
Play Fruit Bubbles in your browser: a fruit shooter in the style of a bubble shooter. Fruit hangs from above, taller than the screen, and slowly comes down. Aim, bank shots off the walls, and join three or more of the same fruit to pop them; whatever was hanging from them falls too, and a shot that cuts the narrow part a shape hangs from brings down dozens at once. Ten pops in a row earn a firework that clears a whole patch, two at most a level. Twenty levels of 150 to 200 fruit, each to clear in 90 seconds, a new fruit unlocked on every level, and frozen fruit, ice blocks, crates, shifting fruit and frost in the way. A level that runs out of time, or lets the fruit reach the line, is laid out again, and your place is kept for next time.
