Clear seven columns by taking cards one rank above or below the one face up.
How to play
- Thirty-five cards sit in seven columns of five. Only the bottom card of each column is in play.
- One card sits face up beside the stock. Take any of those seven bottom cards that is one rank higher or lower than it.
- The card you take becomes the new face-up card, so a run can keep going down a column and across to the next.
- The ace connects to both the king and the two, so a run can pass straight through it.
- When nothing follows on, turn the next card from the stock. There is no redeal.
- Clear all thirty-five cards to finish. The name comes from the scoring: the fewer cards left, the better the round.
