Fruit Match
Tap two tiles with the same fruit to clear them, if a line with no more than two turns can join them.
How to play
- Tap a tile, then another with the same fruit.
- The two clear if a line can join them through empty space with no more than two turns. The line may go round the outside of the board.
- A pair that no line can join yet shakes and costs one of the level’s three hearts: clear what is in the way first.
- The clock starts on your first tap and runs for ninety seconds. Every two pairs in a row put a second back.
- Ten pairs in a row earn a hint, which rings a pair that can be joined; twenty earn a shuffle of the tiles that are left.
- Clear every tile to finish the level. From level 11 the fruit closes up after each pair, and the level says which way.
What it trains
- Thirty levels, each a picture built out of tiles, with new kinds of fruit joining along the way.
- From level 11 the fruit closes up after every pair, and each level does it a different way.
- Every board is dealt so that it can be cleared, and a run of pairs earns hints, shuffles and seconds on the clock.
- A tune the fruit plays along to, with a switch for the music and another for the sound effects.
Play Fruit Match in your browser: a fruit connect game on one flat layer of tiles. Tap two tiles with the same fruit and they clear, as long as a line can join them through empty space with no more than two turns; the line may go round the outside of the board. Thirty levels each lay their tiles out as a picture, new kinds of fruit join along the way, and from the eleventh level the fruit closes up after every pair, a different way each time. Each level gives you three hearts and ninety seconds, with a second back for every two pairs in a row, and your place is kept for next time.
