Paper Marbling
Float colour on water, open clear rings, comb flowing patterns and lift a one-of-a-kind paper.
How to play
- Choose one of six pigments, then tap or click the water to float a drop. New colour gently moves the older rings aside.
- Use Spread to open clear rings without adding pigment, or Draw to pull nearby colour into long curls.
- Drag Comb for broad, even feathers, Fine rake for close ripples, or Blow for a wide current. Undo is always available; Clear & restart resets only the tray.
- When a pattern feels finished, choose Lift paper. The print flies into your private local album while the water remains available to keep exploring. Every paper in the album can be downloaded as an image or removed.
Why it feels gentle
- A tactile creative action with an immediate, visible response to every drop and gesture
- Each short visit can leave a genuinely different paper in a lasting local collection
- No target image or perfect result: overlapping, imperfect marks are part of the work
- Calm by design: unlimited colour and undo, with no timer, score, failure, streak, ads or account
Play Paper Marbling free in your browser: float rings of colour, open them with clear spreading liquid, then shape the pigments with a stylus, comb, fine rake or soft breath. When the water looks the way you want, lift the pattern onto paper and keep it in a private album on this device. Your unfinished water is saved too. There is no timer, score, correct pattern, limited paint, account, ad or punishment for starting again.
