Castle Defense
Heroes on the wall fire on their own — pick one upgrade after every wave and hold for twenty.
How to play
- Choose your first hero. Heroes stand on the wall and attack on their own — you never aim.
- Foes march down the road, and any that reach the wall start knocking it down. Skeletons stop short and throw bones at it from range.
- After every wave, pick one of three cards: a new hero, a level for one already on the wall, a boost for every hero, a thicker wall, or a patch when the wall is damaged.
- Hold through twenty waves — boss waves send one huge foe at the wall. Pause, double speed, sound and full screen sit under the board.
What it trains
- Weighing one upgrade against another: spread across many heroes, or stack one until it carries the wall
- Reading the horde — a crowd rewards splash damage, a boss rewards single hard hits
- A decision between every wave, and a different hand of cards every run
Play Castle Defense in your browser: a horde marches down a canyon road toward your wall, and the heroes standing on it fight on their own — arrows, fireballs, chain lightning, flying spirit blades, a frost wave and meteors. Every cleared wave offers three cards: bring a new hero to the wall, level up one you have, or make every hero hit harder and faster. Crowds, runners, brutes and bone-throwing skeletons each ask for something different, and boss waves send one huge foe at the wall. Twenty waves, and a different set of cards every run.
