Tic-Tac-Toe
Take turns drawing X and O in nine squares. Three in a row wins.
How to play
- Choose a computer — Easy, Hard or Master — and whether you go first or second. X always goes first.
- Tap an empty square to draw your mark in it. Then the computer draws its own.
- Get three of your marks in a row, across, down or corner to corner, to win.
- If all nine squares fill up and nobody has three in a row, the game is a draw.
What it trains
- Thinking a move ahead on every turn: block the computer’s two in a row, and look for the square that makes two threats at once.
- Three computers to choose from: Easy for a first win, Hard that only a double threat beats, and Master, which never loses.
- Every mark is drawn in chalk in time with a soft tune, with a switch for the music and another for the sound effects.
Play tic tac toe online in your browser against the computer, on a green chalkboard. Take turns drawing X and O in a three-by-three grid: get three of your marks in a row — across, down or corner to corner — to win, and fill all nine squares with no line for a draw. Choose whether you go first or second, and choose the computer: Easy, Hard, or Master, which never loses.
