Snake
Steer the snake to the apples. Every apple makes it one longer.
How to play
- Pick a mode — Classic, No walls or Versus — and, if you like, the speed, how many apples lie out at once and the size of the board.
- Press an arrow key (or W, A, S, D) or swipe on the board to set the snake moving. It keeps going until you turn it.
- Steer into an apple to eat it: the snake grows one square longer and a new apple comes up.
- The round ends if the snake runs into the edge of the board or into its own body. In No walls the edges lead round to the other side. Press Space to pause.
What it trains
- Quick reactions and thinking ahead: the longer the snake, the more you have to plan where its tail will be.
- Three ways to play: the classic game, a board with no walls, and a race for the apples against computer snakes.
- Every apple rings out in time with a soft tune that keeps the snake’s pace, with a switch for the music and another for the sound effects.
Play the classic snake game online in your browser. Steer with the arrow keys or a swipe, eat the apples to grow longer, and keep clear of the edge and your own tail. Pick Classic, No walls — where the edges lead round to the other side — or Versus, with computer snakes after the same apples, and choose the speed, how many apples lie out at once and the size of the board.
